Nuevo Vallarta is the place to come when you want to break fishing records. From here, you can head offshore to the world-renowned hot spots, where giant Yellowfin Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, and many more have been caught throughout the years. There are more underwater structures here than anywhere else on the Mexican Pacific coast – the perfect place for excellent fishing.

Banderas Bay, or head 20 miles out to the Maria Islands, El Morro, and El Faro. For longer trips and more experienced anglers, it’s all about Roca Corbetania (also called La Corbetena ) and El Banco, up to 50 miles offshore.

Nuevo Vallarta is a paradise for water-lovers. Known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant reefs, it’s the perfect destination for divers, snorkelers, and of course, anglers.

Fishing is so good that it’s easy to forget everything else Nuevo Vallarta has to offer. Stunning coastlines, white sandy beaches, amazing food and great culture.

Deep Sea Fishing

Year-round fishing is available in the ever-popular coastal resort of Nuevo Vallarta ;striped marlin, pompano, bonito, red snapper and tuna are the main catches in these waters.

Family fishing trips are available with our kids program. We focus on snappers or small bonefish, either with spinning rods or handlines for kids younger than 6 years. They will love the action!

With plentiful of trophy fish like Blue, Black, and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi (aka Dorado or Dolphin), Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Grouper.

El Morro, Corbetena and The Banks is full of massive game fish, including marlin, sailfish, tuna, wahoo, and mahi mahi and is one of the prime reasons why anglers from all corners of the planet come here

Roco Corbetania Fishing aficionados will love the variety and options in these cooler waters where big trophy fish call home. Species include huge Yellowfin Tuna, some as big as 400 pounds. You’re also likely to see Blue, Striped, and Black Marlin weighing around 100 pounds. Sailfish, Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Pargo, Bonito, Wahoo, and many more can also be found.

Bottom Fishing

A huge variety of fish call the Bay home. These include Jack Crevalle, Red Snapper, Bonito, Skipjack Tuna, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, and many more. You won’t find huge trophy fish in these warmer waters. However, Banderas Bay offers calm waters close to shore, which are perfect for shorter trips and fishing novices.

Inside Banderas Bay, you’ll find a huge variety of fish such as Snook, Jacks, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Snapper and much more.

Inshore fly fishing for Dorado, Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, and Bonitos, Mackerel
and Sardines.

Lake Fishing

Lake Cajon de Pena is located about 75 miles south of Puerto Vallarta in the middle of jungle of the Sierra Madre mountains. This 7000 acre lake is stocked with large Florida Large Mouth Bass.  Agua Milpa which is about 3 hrs. away and holds some big bass. At Agua Milpa it’s not uncommon to catch over a 100 bass in one day.
